  • Smart shoppers

The more you know, the more you save.

Two weeks ago the promotion was, buy a sweater, get a shirt half off. I bought a sweater at regular price, $70, and a shirt at 50% off, $50, down to $25. Total spent = $95.

I didn't remove the tag because I was waiting for a better deal.

    Yesterday the sign read:

"30% of all collections on all regular priced and reduced items. Cannot be combined with any other promotion" Logically, buy each item separately would save you more money, $70 down to $49 and $50 down to $35. Total spent = $84.

I wanted my $11 back. I don't care who you are, $11 can get you a lot.

I tell the manager "I would like to return the items and purchase them again to take advantage of the 30% promotion as this will save me more money"

She says "No, you cannot use the 30% off on promotional items."

I said "Where does it say that? If I was to purchase the sweater only would I get 30% off?"

    She says "yes"

I said "well If I purchased the shirt only would I get 30% off?"

    She says "yes"

I said "okay put them on separate receipts and give me the 30% off"

She says "Sorry we can't do it on promotional items"

I said "SHOW ME WHERE THE HECK IT SAYS THAT ON YOUR DAMN SIGN!"

She says "Fine, you can get each at 30%."

While the purchase was being rung up on the register, she was trying to do the math on paper.

She says "It works out the same way if you were to get 30% off each item or get the shirt at 50%"

I said "how is that possible?"

DON"T EVER MESS WITH AN AUDITOR AND A PROUD GRADUATE OF KUMON. Kids these days have to use calculators too often. sheesh. Take the time to go over your receipt after your purchase to make sure it makes sense! People make mistakes at the register you know!

In the end I got my $11 back.

  • What do you think?

4 white males dressed up as the Jamaican bobsled team.

1 black male dressed up as the white coach.

They won a prize at costume contest.

Is the a form of racism (wikipedia or google "blackface") or a harmless satircal display?
