Is marriage really the way to go?
Perhaps just being in a relationship is good enough these days. I mean, look at the divorce rate. Last time I checked one in every two marriages ends up in divorce. Not very encouraging is it?
Oh and what happened to the perfect couple, John and Kate...hmmm oh yeah, divorce!
Let's not forget sites like Ashley Madison which provide a gateway to indulge oneself in infidelity.
I just love the world we live in!
Maybe it's time to rethink marriage...

I find myself thinking the same thing too. It's seems as though the concept or merely the term marriage ruins the whole relationship which later leads the couple through a nasty divorce. Like you said, it's very encouraging.

Yea I don't want to get married..... for now at least. see if i change my mind later.

@shake_things_up - Exactly! People break their vows/promises all the time. Nothing meant to last. Things lost their value. It's sad (truely sad) but that's how things are. I think that's why fairy tales always state some sort of "magic love potion" making it last. The tales know human emotions hardly last...well love at least which is the general basis of marriage to my understanding.
Oh, on my original comment I mean to say "Like you said, it's NOT very encouraging."
this is depressing :(
i'm a romantic at heart. i do like the idea of getting married and all that.
but it is scary to see so many relationships falling apart all around us.
if there are still people in the world who marry their true love and be together until they die. then marriage is still possible.
i see sometimes old couples holding hands in the park, it shows that it is possible to hold a promise.
it is a big risk, will you take that risk?
Take heed to what Beyonce said "If you like it then you should have put a ring on it."
Just kidding.
But engagements rings are so pretty!
